Applications for plein air artists are now available for the 2027 festival. You can submit till September 30, 2026. The 60 finalists will be announced here on or about October 30, 2026.

Applications are open to submit on Monday, August 3rd 2026. The deadline to apply is September 30th 2026, 11:59pm PST

Time Commitment for Juried Artists
Juried artists are encouraged to arrive by the morning of Monday May 10th 2027 for the
orientation and official canvas stamping beginning at 8am in Su Vecino Courtyard on Delores
between 5th and 6th Streets in Carmel by the Sea, which marks the start of the competition
painting period.
